Bayern Munich coach Louis Van Gaal will be hoping that his side can build on their narrow in the midweek by registering their first win in four matches when they visit Hannover in their next Bundesliga match on Sunday.
The German giants kept their Champions League hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Maccabi Haifa. However Bayern are struggling for form in their domestic league campaign and have managed to collect just three points from their last three matches.
Bayern put up a good performance in their 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend with Mario Gomez on target before Stefen Kiebling equalized for the visitors. However Van Gaal is under serious pressure and should Bayern fail to win against Hannover this weekend, the Dutch coach could find himself out of job.
Meanwhile Hannover coach Andreas Bergmann will be optimistic that his side will bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Schalke last weekend and extend their unbeaten home run to five games.
A decent start to the season has seen Hannover sit inside the top half of the table and should they secure all three points on Sunday, then Die Roten could find themselves in with a great chance to challenge for a European place next season.
