The Toffees have lost seven of their last 10 matches including the twin defeats to Benfica on the European stage. However they are still in a strong position to progress out of the group and a victory over AEK coupled with at least a point for Benfica against BATE meaning that Everton will have an unassailable lead in the second position of the group table.
