Manchester City should be in high spirits as their FA Cup run continues. On Tuesday, Carlos Tevez found the back of the net twice as City ousted city rivals Manchester United in a thrilling 2-1 Carling Cup Semifinals match. There aren’t any fresh injury concerns for new manager Roberto Mancini who has taken off flying since he took over for beleaguered manager Mark Hughes a little less than a month ago.
As for Scunthorpe, they come into the match high on confidence. They haven’t lost in three appearances in 2010 with a third round win over Barnsley to get them to this stage and a 4-1 trashing of Derby County away from home before coming home to tie Cardiff City, who sit 5th in the Championship.
It should be an enthralling tie and if Scunthorpe can maintain their confidence against the billionaires then maybe Mancini could be in for a bit of a surprise.
