Barrow boss Dave Bayliss had this to say after his side beat Oxford in the second round of this year’s FA Cup:
"I would love them to put a full-strength side out. We don't want to play against their kids or reserves. We're not going there to lose. We'll go to Sunderland and try to win.”
While Sunderland is sure to put out a few fringe and reserve players, nothing can be taken for granted for Steve Bruce’s men. The Black Cats are currently in a rough bit of form at the moment. They have four losses and three draws in their last seven. They have only one win in their last five at home at the Stadium of Light.
But, Bruce and his players will relish the fact that, no matter what, it’s still a non-league side making the trip north. And the fact Darren Bent, should he play is on fine form. He is third in the Premier League in scoring, only a goal off of Jermain Defoe and Didier Drogba.
