The Spurs have been very active on the transfer market this summer and in fact started building up a squad after confirming their Champions League qualification last season. Redknapp missed out on signing Joe Cole as the latter opted to go to Liverpool. The former Pompey boss is looking to seal a couple of new deals ahead of the season and is eyeing German World Cup star Mesut Ozil.
Redknapp will also need to decide on the future of Jonathan Woodgate and has indicated that he may omit the latter from his squad of 25 to compete in the Premier League. Striker Robbie Keane has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, but no concrete deal has materialized as yet. Redknapp is also keen to sign another central defender and has his eye on Micah Richards.
