Barcelona v Mallorca Live |
|
Barcelona will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing performance from their last two games and hold on to their place at the top of the La Liga table when they welcome Mallorca on Saturday.
The defending champions dropped points for only the second occasion this season as they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw in their last match against Osasuna. Seydou Keita looked to have won the game for the Catalan giants by opening the scoring in the 72nd minute but Gerard Pique scored an own goal late in injury time to gift a point for the hosts.

Arch rivals Real Madrid took full advantage of the slip up to close down the gap at the top of the table to just one point. But with Madrid set to face a stern test against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, Barca coach Josep Guardiola will be looking to put more pressure on their title rivals by collecting all three points against Mallorca.
However that might prove to be difficult for the league leaders with Mallorca putting in a number of excellent performances in their last few games to climb to 5th in the league table. The Barralets registered their fifth victory of the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Racing Santander last weekend.
Pierre Webo was on target for Mallorca but it was another excellent performance from Borja Valero who is proving to be one of the best players in the league so far this season.
Mallorca will be keen to avenge their two defeats to Barcelona last season including a 3-1 loss at Camp Nou with Thierry Henry, Andres Iniesta and Yaya Toure on target.
