Real Madrid beat Almeria 4-2 in La Liga last weekend, and qualified for the last sixteen of the Champions League in style by beating Olympique Marseille 3-1. Star playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo scored on either side of Raul Abiol’s 60th minute as OM were beaten 3-1 at the Stade Velodrome. Ronaldo will however miss Real’s trip to the Mestalla because of the red card he received against Almeria. Kaka will also be absent because of a groin injury.
