The French giants have managed just one win in their last five matches and have collected just three points from their last three games. The dip in form has allowed defending champions Bordeaux to open up a two point lead at the top of the table and put more pressure on coach Claude Puel.
Lyon followed up on their 1-1 draw against Grenoble last weekend with yet another disappointing performance at home to Stade Rennes. The visitors took an early lead through Gyan Asamoah in the 14th minute and though Lisandro Lopez equalized three minutes before the half time whistle, they were unable to find a breakthrough in the second half.
Lille on the other hand will be hopeful of maintaining their recent form that has seen the club win three of their last four matches and move to 13th in the league table. Coach Rudi Garcia will be hoping for a repeat of last season’s performance that had seen Lille secure a hard fought 3-2 win over Lyon in this fixture.
