Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has been quite pleased with his side’s performances lately.
While they hardly showed up in a 3-2 defeat to Stoke last Tuesday, and were unfairly rewarded for their match against Chelsea, Fulham had been coming off of a stretch of six matches without defeat. They also dispatched of Swindon Town in the FA Cup to move into the 4th round.
For Blackburn, things haven’t been pretty lately. They were absolutely hammered by Manchester City on Monday and outside of a moment of brilliance for their lone goal in the 4-1 defeat, they looked lifeless.
It didn’t help that striker Benny McCarthy pulled out of the match in the warm-ups and his status remains in doubt.
But, if there is hope for Rovers on Sunday it is that four of their five wins have come in the friendly confines of Ewood Park.
