Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was all geared up for their Manchester Derby in midweek as they were slated to take on Manchester United in the League Cup Semifinals. But, he’ll have to wait as the game was postponed due to bad weather conditions.
Instead, the Premier League comes calling and Manchester City have only been defeated twice the entire campaign, the fewest of any team in the Barclays Premier League.
The opposition is a Blackburn Rovers side who were dispatched by Aston Villa in the FA Cup and now only have the Premier League to concern themselves with for the remaining of the 2010 season.
Blackburn sit in 13th but only remain three points clear of the drop zone. Worrisome for their supporters is their away form, which will be put to the test again on Monday. They have one victory all season and have scored only seven goals while conceding 24.
