For Wigan, it’s been a strange season to put it mildly: They have victories over Aston Villa and Chelsea yet have some puzzling defeats. Those include: 0-1 Wolves, 0-4 to Portsmouth and 1-9 to Tottenham, the ladder not at all a misprint.
