The Bhoys were upset 2-1 by Dundee United last Sunday, leaving them a point behind arch rivals Rangers, who also have a game in hand. Barry Robson gave Celtic the lead from the spot in the 72nd minute, but United equalised when Jon Daly headed in substitute Danny Swanson’s corner. Craig Levein’s side then grabbed an unlikely victory in the last minute of normal time when some poor marking from Celtic allowed Darren Dodds to turn hero for United by nodding in from close range.
St.Mirren were held to a draw by Hibs last week at home. It was a game the Buddies could easily have won had they not been so profligate in front of goal. Derek Riordan gave Hibs the lead in the 29th minute, but defender Chris Innes headed in Jack Ross’ free kick in first half injury time as both sides settled for a share of the spoils.
