Celtic extended their winning run to six games as they thrashed Motherwell 4-0 on Saturday. The game was goalless at the break but the floodgates were opened when Aiden McGeady opened the scoring on 48 minutes. Further strikes from Darren O’Dea, debutant James Forrest and striker Robbie Keane completed an easy win for the Hoops.
Rangers beat Dundee United 2-1 away from home in their last league fixture. It was a day to remember for Gers forward Kris Boyd as he netted his 100th league goal for the club. Boyd’s 2nd minute opener, combined with Nacho Novo’s effort before the interval, proved to be a blow that United could not recover from. Bosnian defender Sasa Papac, who missed Rangers’ trip to Tannadice, is suspended for the club’s visit to Parkhead.
