Hamilton Academical’s last game was against Celtic in December 2009, a game which the Bhoys won 2-0. The game against Rangers marks the beginning of a busy week for Accies- they host Dundee United two days later in the league and will again play Rangers next Saturday.
Rangers’ last game was against Old Firm rivals Celtic, which they drew 1-1. Celtic’s Scott McDonald broke the deadlock eleven minutes from time, but Lee McCulloch equalised for Rangers two minutes later. Nacho Novo had to be substituted early with a thigh sprain, but the Spanish striker is expected to recover in time for the clash against Accies.
